Alcantara can be a difficult material to care for, and it can be difficult to know which chemicals and tools to use. We've taken the guesswork out of Alcantara care, as we've been using Sonax's Alcantara cleaner for years with great results and little effort.
Sonax Upholstery and Alcantara cleaner is a gentle yet effective means of cleaning Alcantara/Suede/Nubuck without altering the visual properties of those materials. It's also safe on carpet and standard textile/cloth seats.
Direction for use:
Shake bottle well before use. Vacuum off heavy dirt first, then test fabric for color fastness in an inconspicuous area. Slightly moisten soiled areas. Apply the foam to dirty or soiled areas evenly. Work it in with a brush, damp sponge or damp microfiber towel to penetrate the dirty areas. Let the foam sit for 5-10 minutes. Rub again with a damp sponge or cloth, and let dry. Afterwards, vacuum or brush. Repeat application in case of especially stubborn soiling.
Please note:
After cleaning Alcantara surfaces, use a very gentle brush to allow the surface to "stand up" once again. To avoid differences in color and brightness between treated and untreated areas, the cleaner should always be applied to complete sections ( e.g. complete seats). Keep from freezing.
